Horse riding lessons

Our adaptive riding classes aim to teach basic riding skills and horse care while focusing on the specific needs of each participant. As skills improve, the level of assistance is gradually reduced, promoting independence and confidence.

Benefits of Horse Riding

  • Physical: Improves balance, posture, coordination, and muscle control through the horse's movement.

  • Mental: Enhances thinking, decision-making, and social skills by requiring focus and task management.

  • Emotional: Provides a calming, focusing experience through the horse’s rhythmic walk, aiding those with hyperactivity or poor attention span.

  • Social: Encourages social interaction and communication skills through engagement with instructors, volunteers, and peers.

Our Approach

We provide structured, tailored classes for each individual based on their ability and needs. Our highly trained staff and volunteers ensure that health and safety standards are met at all times. Each session is led by trained coaches and supported by a dedicated team for each horse or pony, usually including a leader and side walkers as required.
